Traralgon

‘House & Garden’ Top 50 rooms 2008

The Traralgon project involved the refurbishment of an existing early 90’s house, with a generous layout and beautiful aspect on to a feature pool and garden designed by Paul Bangay. However, the house was steeped in the 90’s style – a very overpowering bird’s eye veneer had been used extensively throughout. The paint colours were originally soft and gold based so a more graphic palette of crisp white, taupe and charcoal was employed to bring some impact to the space. A clever mix of contemporary furniture and dramatic modern art add aesthetic punch to the interior. By also renovating the kitchen and built-in joinery, as well as replacing the carpet, the property has been given a new lease on life.

Client testimonial
“After consulting several leading Melbourne designers we engaged Christopher Elliott to redesign the interior of every room of our family home. Christopher not only listened to our brief but achieved for us a design that exceeded our expectations. The creative journey that Christopher provided for us was not only professional but an absolute pleasure.”
